Ruth Ragsdale - Site Memorial Online

Ruth Evelyn Ragsdale, 90, of Decatur, IL passed away on Friday (May 13, 2011) in McKinley Court Nursing Home.

A service to celebrate Evelyn’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday (May 18, 2011) at Dawson & Wikoff North Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Wednesday. Evelyn was born on October 24, 1920 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of John W. and Ruth E. (Brownlow) Constant. She was a homemaker and a member of Elm Grove Church of God and later New Beginnings Church of God. Evelyn was active with WCSC and taught Sunday school for sixty-five years. She married Donald W. Ragsdale on January 1, 1949. He preceded her in death on March 7, 2011.

Surviving are her sons: Donald Ragsdale and his wife Kimberly of Decatur, IL, Lynn Ragsdale and his wife Betsy of Oronogo, MO; daughter: Linda Wilson and her husband Phil of Ft. Scott, KS; brother: John W. Constant and his wife Frances of Muncie, IN; eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother: George A. Constant and one granddaughter.
